Is there a list of keyboard shortcuts anywhere, either in the manual or in-game?

While running the game, go into options and you will find the hotkeys listed and can be remapped from there.

Thanks. Bizarrely it was staring me in the face and I couldn't see it...no wonder I find actually playing the game a bit of a challenge...!

You and me both! I went online looking for hotkeys, reading manual, nothing. Then I spent a lot of time before "1st turn" just getting acquainted with all the panels of info and options with what they did, so I stumbled onto the hotkey list! Amazing game that possessed me to "familiarize" myself with everything before I took my first baby steps. Have fun!!!
