Chaos Tourney II

The current digital league season is drawing to a close, so I'm planning to run the next season of Chaos Tourney, provided we get a minimal number of folks (5) willing to join.

Here's an overview of how it'll be run.

1. Number of matches will be contingent on the number of people who sign up. I'm really not expecting a large number of players, given the holiday season approaching, but just in case will organize as follows.

5-6 two matches vs each player - 8-10 altogether.
7-13 one match vs each player for 6-12
14-26 Divide into two division sorted by DL rankings one match each for 6-12

2. All matches will be potluck for both armies and terrain with both date and geography filters turned off.

3. I will generate a list of army pairings sufficient to cover the number of players. I will make up a list of player pairings. We will use a website randomizer to generate the distribution of the battles to the pairings.

4. Each player may request one reroll of battlefield. If both agree, an additional reroll can be done. A rerolled battle is to be set to the same armies as originally generated; only the field can be rerolled.

5. Tourney will run a minimum of 8 weeks with additional weeks added for battles over 8 to a maximum of 12.

6. In regards to other details, we will follow the rules and guidelines posted for Digital League play.

As long as you complete all your games within the time frame, breaks or vacations are OK I think.

I'll leave a window of a week or so for people to show an interest and we'll take it from there.

I believe that you do, though I seem to recall you might be able to join such games if the match is created by a player having the expansions.

Perhaps someone can shed more light.

All the expansion DLC are on sale ATM for 50% off, so a good chance to upgrade if you haven't already.

I'll go ahead and draw up a numbered list of player matches which I'll use to assign the yet to be generated army match ups.
I'll see if I can generate a list of army match-ups over the weekend. Then we can use number randomizer website to distribute the army matches to the player matches.

Any number is fine; we have a minimum now to play as is. The more the merrier, I think.

If we have five or six, we will play each person twice. If we have more than 7 we will play each person once.

I will generate a list of 21 battles next, hopefully a bit later today, or tomorrow, and post them. Then I will go to the random number website and generate a list of 21 random numbers and post that list. That will be the battle number assigned to the player list number starting with match 1. For example, if the first part of the random numbers list is 16,3,10, then player match 1 will fight battle 16 with player 1 taking army A and player 2 taking army B. player match 2 would fight battle 3 with player 1 taking army A and player 2 taking army B. Player match 3 would fight battle 10 with player 1 taking army 1 and player 2 taking army B.

We will official start the timer from this Saturday, Dec. 28 and the final deadline to finish will be Feb. 22. Eight weeks should be more than enough time to finish six games and allow for folks being away a bit for the holidays or what not. You are of course welcome to start your matches immediately is you wish.

Remember to post all challenges here as well as via PM to the player(s) involved.

You may freely choose whether to be player A or B, as far as order of deployment and play, but you need to stick to your assigned armies in setting up matches.
