How does the insert video link thing work?

On other forums I usually just post a link to Youtube and the video show's up in the post. Doesn't work here (I get a standard text link). So, I tried the Youtube button and all it does is give me the code brackets with "Youtube /Youtube" in them. when I put my link between them nothing shows up. Ditto for the Video button. What gives? How do you use them?

To insert YouTube video you need to get embed-able URL that looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/embed/x8XJaqeZMHE. You can get it in the YouTube click on Share->Embed then copy the URL from the IFrame markup.
