Skirmisher experience

Can anyone tell me the effect experience has on skirmishers? Both during the ranged phase and on their support value, if any?

I seem to be really digging into the guts of the battle system here. Suffice to say that there's a lot at stake in an upcoming multiplayer field battle.

EDIT: It seems that experience has no effect on support value... so don't count on elite skirmishers being any better at backing up your front line than rookies. Still not sure about the skirmish itself.

Experienced units in ranged phase get one re-targeting opportunity per experience level. It means that a skirmisher who pick (at random) a target which is already exhausted by a previous one, will be able to re-target x time to finally 'find' a non exhausted target. That's very important...
