Diplomacy vs AI and Humans

Post by Hendricus »

Diplomacy vs Humans and the AI are so different. An idea that humans can only influence the % instead of total control. Half or double the % would be enough Human control. Asking for peace can now bluntly be refused.

I've got the same feeling; to me it seems different because you can see the AI's acceptance percentage, while it is irrelevant for a human player. If devs would hide that percentage in MP (even SP), they will not feel so different anymore. Plus it doesn't seem so realistic to know beforehand how the AI will "calculate" his options, just as you do not for a human player.

That's also a good idea Hendricus, as one player might "force" the other by influencing the % by gifts, etc., though it will definitely limit unusual alliance choices in MP. (And could also be realistic, if you consider you are not actually the king to have the final say, or you are the king and you are forced by the (un)popular opinion of your subjects, to give a specific answer/decision)
