What are the Slash numbers under manpower and metal on UI

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what these / sub-numbers are for manpower and metal in the image below?
I looked in the manual and did not find any reference to them. thanks!

Those are caps. They were there from the start iirc (Manpower cap was definitely there, but Metal I'm not sure...I didn't see it but maybe I never had enough metal). With the latest 1.04 update they're more significant. Basically, based on your military expertise (from buildings, nation traits, leader abilities etc) you get a cap for manpower and metal. You can go above that (like in your case) but each turn a fraction of the 'surplus' is lost. I think it's 1/4, but I might be wrong.

ah bullseye that explains my last campaign as rome, i kept getting severely low of mp and metal after I reached the max limit once.
Thanks guys for the help in understanding whats going on.

The patch will be needed on this.
