MP-AI seems to be making decisions or moving pops after retaking control
It seems like to me that the AI is still deciding on what buildings to make and is moving pops around after I've taken control back after a period away, is anyone else seeing this?

I'll just clarify that this is regarding Multiplayer as it may not be clear to everyone else.
No, I haven't seen this happen in my games! Quite weird indeed...

Ah, cheers 13obo, I missed putting that down, I edited the title to make it clearer.
Yeah, it's hard for me to track as I have 12 games going on but I'm going to try and keep a track to see if it is.
I say this as when I complete a building the decision to decide what is next is already picked, also, I've noticed that when I cancel some, I cannot build any more as my slots are full but the region was still lined up to build a building, very odd, can the AI break the building limit rules?

Was the region starving and maybe lost a population point, reducing the number of buildings you can build to 0?

I don't believe so.
I've just noticed this is another game, if one of the Tech folk see it, please look at the game...
Co-op Grecian - Turn 38, 3 day turns.
Buildings were finished that turn and it seems the AI had auto selected the next build, I also noticed that the pops were heavily stacked into focus areas in regions, I tend not to do that.

In MP I have also had a situation where despite not missing any turns the AI has implemented decisions .
One of these in an Antigonid playthrough was "whipping the slaves". I NEVER use that decision so it was definitely done by the AI.
Quite annoying.

This is from some desynch from the patch, I'll see with the rest of the team if this can persist or will go away after a few turns.

If you give the name of the multiplayer game, we can have a look.

You likely need to turn off the automation settings on your provinces after you resume.MARVIN_THE_ARVN wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 6:58 pm It seems like to me that the AI is still deciding on what buildings to make and is moving pops around after I've taken control back after a period away, is anyone else seeing this?

The multiplayer game Marvin refers to is "A New World Order" and he plays as Nubia there.
Kudos for your continued effort to improve the game! It is very much noticed and appreciated by us.

Hey all,
TBH its happening in a fair few games but it could be the setting that has been mentioned, I'll check later when I go through my games.

Many thanks for the offer but I resigned it as it happened just once too often so it is no longer on my list

If it happens in another game I will flag it up to you.

Just a quick message to say I haven't left this, I'm just allowing my games to turn over and to see what the long term, if any effect is, I'll be back with feedback in a week or so, maybe

Re: MP-AI seems to be making decisions or moving pops after retaking control
In a game where I'm playing Arverni in a MP game I'm seeing the AI move my population and it's driving me mad!
I have my old capital (it was the capital until the AI decided to move it... it was never conquered) and it has a lot of rebeliious slaves. I move nearly all of them to work on building loyalty buildings and after every turn they are all back working on food. I'm getting extremely frustrated by this. I've never missed a turn and never asked the AI to help.
Is there a fix for this? Is there anything I can do to stop it? I'm getting close to the stage where I give up on this game.
Thanks for any help that can be given.

Can you confirm that population automation is deactivated in the affected provinces, using the radio buttons above the population display in the province panel? This would be off by default, but could by turned on if the AI took over during a break.Morbio wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 11:07 am In a game where I'm playing Arverni in a MP game I'm seeing the AI move my population and it's driving me mad!

I can confirm the radio buttons were off and are still off. I've never used them (until this morning when I turned them on and then off again) and never missed a turn. TBH this is the first time I even knew they existed on the window. I'm wondering if somehow, when someone in the game activates these buttons whether it could affect other users too?AndrewGardner wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 3:04 pmCan you confirm that population automation is deactivated in the affected provinces, using the radio buttons above the population display in the province panel? If you please let us know the name of multiplayer game, we can have a look to diagnose the issue.Morbio wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 11:31 am I can confirm the radio buttons were off and are still off. It's called Open MP game (see forum for password). I'm playing Arverni and the problem region is my old capital... it has about 15 slaves.AndrewGardner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 3:42 pmIf you please let us know the name of multiplayer game, we can have a look to diagnose the issue.Morbio wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 11:31 am I can confirm the radio buttons were off and are still off.
