How big should the supply camp, fortified or not, be on the table?

120mm x 80mm for 15mm or 180mm x 160mm for 25mm.

For modeling purposes I guess you really only need to have a clearly distinctive area that is 120mmx80mm (in 15mm) on your base that can be practically any size.

I say this because I fully intend on making a larger than 120mmx80mm camp for my Vikings which will include a beach etc and a longship pulled up on the beach. Clearly the beach etc will not necessarily really be there, but it adds to visual appeal. So long as my camp is 'clear' I don't see a problem with this.
