Meging units into armies

I just started playing FOG Empires, and have yet to figure out how to transfer units into armies. Can someone please explain the process to me?

I addition, can a unit merge into an army that is moving.

I've tried several times to merge in practice games but have yet to successfully figure out the right order or technique of doing this!

There are 2 ways to merge a unit (or units) into another army;

1. If the 2 stacks are in the same region - select the army you want to merge so that the army display shows up > Click 'Merge' on the list of orders running above the unit icons in the Army display > click on the army tab along the top of the army display that you want to move the selected units into.

2. If the 2 stacks are in different regions- select the army you want to merge and right click on the army that you want it to move into. You will get a small red arrow at the end of the move order to indicate that this is a merge order and a notification will pop up at the top of the screen saying 'targeting army'


With either option you can select individual units within the stack to merge into other army stacks as opposed as to merging the entire stack into another stack. This is useful if you build a large number of a given unit type in a Province and want to distribute them out to several nearby armies.
