Do you like how factions are made unique and any ideas to improve on their originality ?

So like how each faction feel unique or the most important ones but I feel some need a bit more traits or some sort tech tree or abilities they can gained through the game to help them grow and control decandence as they expand.

Here is a few ideas:

- Carthage need more mercenaries they hired Gauls, Galatians and Iberian swordsman and not simply hipolite ( which become really expensive) so maybe a unique mercenary building that can be upgraded to tiers 3 with more powerful mercenary at greater discount. Another thing , Carthage should not have increased decadence from not controlling whole province ( since primary objectif is trade and they start with really divided territory) and get bonus building for commercial coastal structures and ability to build trade settlement with soldiers at the coast . This should help because Carthage Africa Region is really underdeveloped. Another thing Carthage should have a bonus diplomacy with tribe factions since they befriended, traded and hired a lot from multiple tribes in Africa , Iberia and Gaul.

- Rome should have some added structures like temple to Mars and Jupiter and Vests and the economic structure the Forum. Maybe military victories and war won can give Roman a boost to decadence reduction and extra money from selling war captives as slaves . You can have ability to train your army in peace to increase their experience ( historically they said on Roman training was bloodless war and war was bloody training).

- Tribes should have the added ability to plunder territory without taking just for gold , food and slaves . I also like s one sort of punitive casus belli when somebody raid your territory. Rome did raid barbarian territory without taking but making example of the perpetrators by putting to the sword or enslaving them.

- just to make Hellenic city state have more chance to survival like Syracuse add a trait to their units called citizen army which give them military boost on their own territory. The emergency army levy should a 20 or 30 turn cooldown and not cost legacy because it would too late gor a lot of minor power. Maybe actuslly give a population cost from your own territory.

- I like to add something the regions feel really overpopulated specially endgame for the classical area . So here is an idea from Total war and imperator : each region would have one Major cities and the other would be settlements , forts or Minor cities. In the Major cities you can build high tiers buildings to increase loyalty , culture and reduce decadence ( so a collossus or racing track or temple affect whole region) and affect whole province . The minor cities and settlment can produce commercial building some temple and ressources . Smaller settlment would have a population cap and would be easier to control. Just an idea because late game overpopulation is really a hassle.

Any other hints or ideas to add ?

celts, italics, semites and greeks are just fine. germanics could use some more buildings (and a way to get archers early) but otherwise are fine
i would like to see more flavour in other factions though.
iberics are just celts, berber tribes have nothing original going on for them, dacians are fun to play as but they are pretty much celts without the amazing celt interlinked economy. caucasians are bland.
persians dont have unique buildings other then babel and hanging gardens, but anyone can rebuilt these if they conquer them. also, the Persia not having immortals when all other sucessor states have them is weird.
also, it would be nice to see nomadic herds reworked. they just take too long to build so ai rarely builds them and the steppes end up being a center of grain trade on pair with germania. maybe make it a 3 tier building, representing their growth over time?

I like the suggestion to have something for Carthage where it is more viable to have a fragmented empire, it makes sense.
I think you are missing smth for Carthage, they have no less than 5 types of mercs, not only the hoplites.
Rome that have reduced decadence from winning battles? I would say that if disloyal generals are one of the mark of 'decadence' (at least weakening of the current institution, the Republic), then it should actually be the reverse

I feel like some of the Diadochi rules force them to behave certain ways to avoid imploding. Like Macedon, Antigonid, etc.

I would like instead rules to "encourage" certain behavior, but not forcing the player to act a certain way.

Making a loyalty system for generals, governors ( maybe in future update) and armies seem interesting. The Roman empire collapse because the army turned on emperor and states and started murdering emperors that they disliked. Pretorians were disbanded by Constantine for murdering his predecessor and auctioning the Throne.

A lot of factions can benefit from flavour building and s one extra wonders. For Romans they can get the Forum , temple for Mars , Jupiter Neptube and Vesta. Greek can have temples for Zeus , Athena , Hera and Appollo.
