This is why it was a gap of several years between the aggressive Arabian declaration of war and Ptolemy's entry into the war. His deal with Judea to permit us to punish Arabia's aggression slightly was cut short when Arabia demanded he enter, and Ptolemy could not refuse. This is the only explanation of what has occurred that makes sense, accounting for Ptolemy's delayed entry as well as his change of heart.

Then what is Ptolemy's claimed version of what occured, and how does it fit with Ptolemy's change of heart and delayed entry?
Given that Ptolemy has never put forward a sensible account of what truly occured, while Judea has, it is not the High Priest who should recieve the prize for excellence in fiction...
