Saving Red Star Core Force?

Is it possible to save the Red Star core force towards the very end of the Moscow scenario?

I cannot seem to figure out how to save it. Probably something overlooked on my part but I would appreciate help (and screenshots) on how to do it if possible.

Pls see the pic, you can export via the Soviet icon in the campaign screen, then click export right above the unit list on the left:
