Oath of Fealty

Post by DaiSho »

Hi All,

I'm wondering if there is a list of armies in this book yet? I looked on the 'product' site but it isn't there yet.

I'm wondering if there is gonig to be a Post Viking/Pre Medieval Scandinavian army in that book? There seems to be a 'missing cusp' period there for the Scandinavians. It's not that big a deal to be honest, but just wondering whether it will be covered or not.

Early Teutonics! Sweet, hopefully it's not the chinese christmas cracker that Later Teutonics turned out to be.
(Looks and sounds promising - but turns out to be a bad joke and some plastic junk)

Later Teutonic can be a good army . It lacks solid infantry but with a bit of terrain , the medium infantry can prove really usefull . I did manage 2 draws and one victory ( and one defeat ) during a competition in France .

I quite like my Later Teutonics. Mixed success with a good win, unlucky loss and God awfull loss. That variant of the army max'd out on decent knights with only the reasonable Xbow and firearms as foot. My latest incarnation will try the HF spear and cavalry whislt dropping some knights to get me more BGs.

I've now run Teuts I think 3 times in friendlies. Lots of KN. A good force of various CV/LH to not get out skirmishered. Then 2 BGs of XB an 1 BG of MF Def Spear. It works well. The drilled knights can get to protect the MF from enmey HF. Its a lot of power.

I think its weakness is the same as all primary Knight armies is if you have plenty of knights, then you run thin on anything else.

Does any one have any idea what the Mongol Invasion mob will look like?

The core will look rather like the Ilkhanid in troop types.
