Please consider yourself invited to join one of the several Co-Op mulit-player games in the Lobby.
These games are fast paced and intense. You have only a small Faction and it is quite difficult to even survive for a few turns. Because the Factions available for players are nearby, co-operation is paramount. It is fun way of discovering how desperate the situation for a small Faction was in those days.
Consider raising an Emergency Levy right away!
If you have a friend on the forum with the game, ask them to join, too!
Good luck!

What factions are allowed for play and what difficulty level is used? You say co-op so does that mean we don't need to worry about backstabs?

Re: INVITATION: You are Invited! Co-Op Multi-Player
Hi, MoLAoS!
Thanks for the interest.
1) Playable Factions
These are limited to between 5-8 Factions in each of the challenges.
You will be able to see the remaining available Factions when you click join. (Join soon, as you have a wider selection!)
The Factions for any challenge are all very near each other and all in the same area of the map. For example, in the Co-Op Britain challenge, you have Factions in Scotland, Ireland and England and one in Northern France.
2) Co-Operation
It isn't easy to survive as a small Faction! Since the other players are nearby or even adjacent, it helps a lot if you work together, so communication inside the game is a big part of success. Sure, the other players might try and backstab you but they will have enough enemies as it is without stirring up trouble with the humans as well as the AI. No doubt later on, if anybody survives long enough, there might be some "disagreements". If it reaches that stage, well done to everybody still alive!
3) Difficulty
The difficulty setting is set to standard. That is plenty difficult enough! Also, you want fun and an easy life, right?!
Most people have in mind destroying everybody and everything, but in these challenges, the challenge is to work together. It is fun! You will know how bad you need co-operation if you try a few of these challenges.
If you have friends with the game, why not consider inviting them to join too?

The Grecian and Italic challenges are filling up rapidly, though there are still a few slots left for those who would like to try.

I joined up. About how fast do we expect early turns to go?

Re: INVITATION: You are Invited! Co-Op Multi-Player
Hi, MoLAos!
Thanks for joining. The first turn takes a while, as people get to know about their Faction. However, this can be speeded up a lot, and your game can be improved, by practicing a few times with the same Faction in solo play.
The turns can take very little time at all. It depends on how long the other players all take to make their plays too. Since there are only a few people in the game, you could have about 3 of 4 turns in the same number of hours on the weekend.
One of the great things about this type of challenge is that you can play, turn your attention elsewhere for a few days, and then it all comes back to you a few days later when you see the map again, so it is very little effort to play.
There is something odd about the challenges at the moment though, as people are joining but i have started a couple of games and nobody is in them for some reason...

I'm in some you started, I think all. Might just be a UI quirk.uneducated wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 11:42 pmHi, MoLAos!

I joined a few. One of them started and since I missed the "Co-op" part so already declared war on a player neighbour... Oh well?
