Save game directory

Is it possible to change the location of the saved games directory? I foolishly still have my operating system on a regular drive and I have FoG:Empires on my solid state drive. I have about 600 saved games and it is taking like 3 minutes to save a new game. It didn't take this long in the early turns, so I think the number of saved games in the folder is causing the problem. I suppose I could just delete the early saves...

The automated saved game recycle themselves though, unless you constantly change nations!

Thank you Pocus. I tried copy-pasting the old saved games into a new directory and that seems to have worked. (There were several GB worth of saved games in there already.) I probably had an unusual problem because I had a bad habit of not naming my saved games so that they would overwrite each other. Now I am over-writing them. Thank you.
