new 10mm carthaginian phalanx

Post by Seldon »

So I expanded my Carthaginian army a bit more.

Here in the US I collect 10mm, easier to take to the club and to keep at home, plus I only started painting two years ago and I am slow ( faster with 10s ). In Buenos Aires all the armies stay at home since we play there, so we have the 28mm, but when you have to move around nothing beats 10s :)

I needed more phalanx bases so I painted a second 8 base unit. These are masgister militum, I simply chipped the little ball on the center of the shield to make it smooth and be able to put decals.

I have them on 40x20 bases even as they are heavy foot since my army originally was warmaster and I want it to look uniform, plus I love two ranks per base, and FOG still behaves perfect with this little depth change in bases.

here a picture next to my prior phalanx and some ellies

Lovely Seldon, You have a good eye to capture that on 10mm, The bases are good too. A very nice looking Army.

These are really nice. Basing two ranks of 10mm foot on each base really gives a nice mass effect, too.
