Black Screen Problem

Post by MarechalJoffre »

Hello, this problem seems to have appeared after my fresh reinstall of OOB - WW2. Bear in mind that I'm using Steam.

I've checked all the older threads about this issue and tried all the solutions given. I have updated the drivers, deleted the settings folder a number of times, reinstalled the game three times after the issue appeared, tried compatibility modes, extracted the file given here http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 72&t=71879 and verified integrity of game files on Steam but none of it seems to have worked. I'm still getting this screen.

In addition, on the launcher screen, when I click on "Game Manual" nothing happens. Perhaps this is connected to the issue I'm having.

In game's Steam directory I'm also presented with a debug text file with this written inside:
[0714/081749.989:ERROR:settings.cc(325)] Settings version is not 1
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I meant to post this on Tech Support forum, made a mistake. Moderators can move this thread to there.

Delete the Settings folder that can be found in the Windows documents folder at:
...\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2

As I've said,
...deleted the settings folder a number of times...
It didn't do the trick for me.

What is the hotfix? I am having the same issues. Everything was fine then suddenly it would not launch after the main launch play screen. Black screen mouse pointer active.
