Aging Rapidly!!

I'm all of 16 years (turns) in to Iberia's existence, and already have 5 age tokens. Maybe once you receive one the odds of getting more go down a bit? It seems a bit much that in 16 years I've aged that much!

If you are in the lowest tier, it's 35% per turn. So on average 15 turns will give you 5 aging tokens. Some protection if you are in top 10 for legacy.

if we are in the top tier we have 35% to get a progress token?
(this is not specified in the manual)

yes ... but deliberately not in the manual as it is a value that might need to change over time - its a very important balancing variable

Six turns in to a restart and I already have received 4 (that's FOUR) age tokens. I'm lucky to only have 3 showing since I took one objective on turn 5.

I have put about 3 citizens on culture even though a couple of the Iberian regions only have 3-4 people. I have created the province on turn 3 and have my culture-laden palace. I have clawed my way up into the mid-60s of the CDR. But the age tokens just seem to be insane.

By turn 10 I've received 3 more age tokens.

There's an option before game start to cut the chances by 50%. I assume you did not check that box.
