Be very careful deleting campaigns!

I'll post this on the tech support forum too but I think it bears at least mentioning here -- if inappropriate, that's why we have our tireless moderators.

If you delete a campaign I think it leaves a hidden file somewhere that interferes with naming future campaigns. I got frustrated and retried/deleted/retried creating a campaign, using similar names, and eventually, only the word "name" would appear in the start-up menu. The other custom campaigns from Erik, Bru, were fine but the ones I tried to create were not getting new names -- just the "name" identifier.
So eventually I went into the text file associated with the campaign and changed the "name=name" line to "name=(my name)" and exited.
Now none of the DLCs will play, I can't use the editor, and I can't play multiplayer PBEM+.
I have contacted Steam and the Technical Support forum herein.

just beware when getting frustrated with the Campaign Editor, it can jack up your whole set-up.
