This is not something that I would want for the FOG2DL, so it would have to be organised separately from what I provide here.Karvon wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 7:52 amI think this would be a very interesting option. At least a couple others seemed interested. Do we have enough people to make this viable? If you'd be willing to play in such a division, post here.Geffalrus wrote - A completely random division where every player selects potluck at the start of the match would be kind of hilarious. Absolute chaos!

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)
Well, if there is enough interest, I'd be willing to help organize it.

Hi Karvon
After this tournament I will be concentrating my gaming on Field of Glory Empires so I can't commit just yet.
Sorry.
Best wishes

Division A
harveylh - Ptolemaic 166-56 BC defeats pantherboy - Indian 500 BC - 319 AD, 64-33.
Much closer than the score indicates. Great use of light chariots and terrain almost won it for the Indians.

Re: Poll on army selection rules
I think this is a good idea, though I'm not enthused about the likelihood of there being more friggin Carthaginians running around in Classical........

Nijis (Seleucids) beats Galatians (IMC) 43 to 13.
One squared phalanx holds a hill against four warbands, passing an absurd amount of morale checks and tying them up long enough for the elephants and cavalry to wrap up the other flank.

Re: Poll on army selection rules
I can see Classical divisions being full of just Roman, Carthaginian and Diadochi armies with maybe an indian or Indo-Greek for flavour.

Division C
Sunnyboy (Ostrogoths 493-561 AD) beat Trogilus (Dacian 50 BC-88 AD) 43-0
Really tough match up for the Dacians on a map that didn’t do them any great favours.
Thanks for the game!

Division C
Sunnyboy (Ostrogoths 493-561 AD) beat cromlechi (Scots-Irish 50 BC-476 AD) 62-44
A tough match, early the Ostrogoth bowmen gained the advantage winning the skirmish fight before concentrating fire on the Scots-Irish medium foot with some success. Swarms of screaming Scots-Irish soon struck back hitting the Gothic lancers hard with casualties mounting up on both sides. Fortunately, the Goths maintained the early advantage and ground out the win.

Division D
SawyerK (Seleucid 205-167 BC) outlasted Barrold713 (Pergamene 190-129) with a final score of 60-52.
It was an intense battle that saw the Seleucids on their last gasp at 59 only to have a routed pike unit rise to defragmentation. A few moves later the Pergamenes were briefly at 60 only to have an elephant resuscitate and keep the combat going. It came down to a few more heavy troops still fighting for the Seleucids and the remaining Pergamene archers unable to participate with the troops locked in combat.
