Division C
lydianed (Gallic) defeats DzonVejn (Indian) 63:52.
At last, a win for the Gauls, albeit a narrow one. The Indians recovered well from the initial shock of the Gallic charge and used their cavalry and nellies to great affect. For much of the middle of the game, the score ticked up evenly on both sides. The resilience of the gallic warbands proved the marginal difference. Thanks to my opponent for a great and exhausting game.

rexhurley (Numidians) defeats Trogilus (Carthaginians) 60/32. The fisherman who wanted the sands of Africa was sent back to the water and his fish heads....
Trogilus played very well and the game was more challenging than the score line indicates

Division D
General Shapur - Kingdom of Soissons 461-486 AD defeats lydianed - Gepid 493-567 AD: 44-12
Thanks for a great battle. This was the one I was most concerned about. However, a series of deep penetrations into the checkerboard enemy formation by warbands chasing cavalry forced some early flanking attacks, combined with one or 2 critical failed attacks on my exposed flank made the game for me. Thanks for the game.

devoncop (Antigoninds) beat nyczar (Roman 105BC) by 46% to 8%.
Heroic Veteran pikes on my left fighting off three Roman Legion units for far longer than expected combined with a Cavalry flanking on the right causing a chain collapse of the Roman line gave the Antigonids a much needed victory.
Many thanks to my opponent.

Tresantes (Pyrrhic) defeats Uneducated (Jewish) 63-48
This was a true Pyrrhic victory! My forces were smashed and exhausted, but broke a couple of key Jewish units before collapsing... Great game!

Triarii - Carthaginian, Hannibal in Africa 202 BC beats Ulysisgrunt - Jewish 163-111 BC 59 - 26
Numidian light cav. played tick with all those light archers while elephants and scutari made a hole for Carthaginian cavalry to run amok.
A handy hill helped the Carthaginian spearmen stand off those nasty zealots long enough for the hole to be made. In the balance until that happened.
Good game.

Division D
Supervark (Lombards) Beat Rob123 (Romano British) 51%-19%
In a match that I did not expect to win the Lombard horsemen managed to hold out despite numerous flank attacks towards the end. I thought the match was much closer than the score reflects.

Classical Antiquity Division D for Determined
Barrold713 (Pergamene) defeats Bluefin (Syracuse) 61-46
My core strength made it across a stream and broke the center but a determined defense against my crapaphracts and medium foot made this way too tight near the end but I held out. Thanks for the match
