The initial surge of players signing up has given us 45 entrants so far, which is pretty good. I have sent out reminder invitations this morning to all those players who have entered the FOG2DL before. There are still around 30+ players who entered last season who have yet to sign up. I know there are always players who will drop out for one reason or another but I hope to recruit at least half of those 30+ players for Season 5. We are not doing so well this time at attracting new players. Only 3 so far so if you know someone who has not entered before please be sure to mention the tournament to them. We recruited 70 players last time and I hope that we can get somewhere near that figure again.

I will keep recruitment open for another week or so. The closing date will depend on the numbers signing up in each section. At the moment it looks like we might get enough players for 4 divisions in each of Classical Antiquity, Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages. Recruitment to Biblical is slow at the moment and we might only get enough players for 2 divisions, although if other sections are full up then more players might opt to play in Biblical towards the end of the recruitment period. Biblical really does need another DLC to increase the range of army choices and this will allow us to remove the hoplite armies. It looks like we will get the required minimum of 16 players for the Themed Event but less likely that we will get the optimum number of 24 players to enable us to run 2 pools of 12 using paired games throughout.
