Hexaboo: check out my YT guide videos

Post by Nerdator »

Fellow generals, I've been dabbling in making videos for some time, and Panzer Corps being an all-time favourite, I simply had to make something about the game!

So, I've already got a few videos done, and I'd really love to hear what hardcore and dedicated hexagonal commanders here have to say about them! :D

This is a link to my last video, 'Panzer Corps Classes: The Decreasingly Good 9':

So, feel free to share your thoughts and criticisms, and if you'd like to see other stuff like this in the future! :)

Awesome video and I agree with most of your opinions except for the Tiger over Panther one in particular. Also ground defense should be 23 for the Tiger and would prefer comparing it to the Panther G since it comes relatively soon after the D model.

The graphics are amazing and the jokes pure, hope you keep making these!

I saw this yesterday as well. It was highly entertaining, even if I disagree with much of the assessment.

I am a huge advocate for a well rounded core, and see artillery as the most important unit, all of them.

Just watched it, I like your style and I agree on some points but as goose_2 said not on all... However, from what I have seen and read, the playstyles of huckc, goose_2 and me seem different as well, while the two guys are better... :)

Anyways… please allow one thought: I think you speak a bit too fast for youtube videos… (although I am not a native speaker, I believe I am sufficiently fluent to negotiate contracts in English, having lived and worked abroad for many years...)

Yeah, I'm a bit of a uniformity freak: the fewer unit types and classes, the better. This way, you can always rely on your units to do what you expect (especially if you're feeling lazy and don't want to plan too far ahead or pay much attention :) ). It works quite well in campaigns, but I can imagine that a more intricate system might be better, especially against human opponents. Artillery's still the god of war and the bestest of all, no matter what your approach is! :)

This is very relevant and a legitimate concern: difficulties recording voice properly are the biggest reason why I haven't posted videos as often as I'd like to; it's always a pain, in various ways. I'm actually working on becoming more articulate and understandable, plus I'll post subtitles for all my stuff, so hopefully clarity won't be too much of a problem in the future.

Thanks, no worries... it's all understandable from a pronunciation/accentuation point of view... also subtitles aren’t needed…

I had just put the speed at 0.8 of the original... this gives me enough time to follow what you say while being able to understand what you show on your charts… a bit slower speech reduces the drama factor a bit but this is fine for me… ;)

What will be the next video(s)?

Yeah, speed is tricky, a calmer and more relaxed approach sometimes feels a bit lazy: you want to keep things intense, but avoid unloading too much on the viewer too fast. Hopefully, finding that sweet spot is a question of experience!

As for the upcoming stuff, I have other (nostalgic) gaming content in the works, and I'll probably make something about PzC 2, share a few thoughts about what's known about it. :)

Hey everyone, I've just posted a video on whatever's known about Panzer Corps 2 so far! I doubt it'll offer anything completely new to the regulars here, but a little refresher might still be nice before the gameplay stream today. :)

Back to Panzer Corps material soon (really want to look into a particularly tough nut that everybody has a hard time cracking)!

I watched the Classes and Stalingrad videos. Thanks for putting them together! Good for some chuckles.
