Despite Ulysisgrunt's attempts to gain Gods favour by visiting Jerusalem during this battle the Median spearmen finally stood firm long enough to achieve victory.

edb1815 (Persian 545-481) defeated Ulysisgrunt (Hebrew 681-586) 60-38

A giant steep hill in the middle of the battlefield became the focus for the center of the infantry lines. The Persian infantry took the high around and held off the better armed Hebrews. The weaker Persian left held off the flanking force of Hebrew cavalry and chariots just long enough for the infantry line to be rolled up.

Well played and fun game. Ulysisgrunt getting to play out his biblical section games in the Holy Land.

Jagger2002 (Carthaginians) defeats UlysisGrunt Hebrew 60-42

It was a race and then fight for a hilltop. The Carthaginian heavies on the left took the hilltop but a swarm of lights working in conjunction with bow chariots and camels were shredding the Carthaginian right. UlysisGrunt use of lights, chariots and camels was very impressive. Several chariots and camels actually broke through the Carthaginian right as the Carthaginian left was overwhelming the Hebrew right. But it was too little, too late. Good well played game by UlysisGrunt.

If a challenge has been issued and nothing is lurking in the multi-player lobby then I have assumed the match is under way.
