As we are not going to reach the optimum number of 64 players now, I need to ensure that we recruit an even number of players so that I can ensure everyone gets a match when the tournament opens on April 1st. So from now on I am only going to be able to accept new players in pairs. We have 42 players at the moment so the next recruit will initially be a reserve until a second player comes along. If that happens then both players can join the tournament and the process begins again.

I am still waiting to hear from Slitherine about sponsorship of this year's event. I have asked for two $25 vouchers for the finalists again, the same arrangement that we had in 2018. I will update you as soon as I know more.

There are still 8 players who have not nominated their army and these players will not be entered into the draw if I have not received them by the time I start the draw tomorrow morning (9 am UK time).
