Re: Calling NikiforosFokas . . .
Please note that I would normally prefer to do this privately by PM, but if a player is not not picking up his messages then I have no choice but to deal with it in this way.
I am still getting reports from some players that NikiforosFokas is not sending turns and challenges over a week old are not being responded to. He has made at least one turn in one match at the weekend according to one player, but he has still not opened my PM regarding the Time Control check. I cannot let this situation drift on indefinitely. The second (and more important) Time Control check is this Friday, March 8th, where players need to have completed 3 matches in each section they have entered. NikiforosFokas has entered two sections this season so I will be expecting to see around six results from him by Friday. So far I have only one result.
This is what is going to happen - if by the end of Friday, March 8th, I still have not heard from NikiforosFokas, or I have not received three results, I will remove him from Late Antiquity Division A (no results yet received). And, if by the end of Sunday, March 10th, I still have not heard from him and I have not received a further two results, I will remove him from Early Middle Ages Division A (one result received so far) as well.
Players are now asking me if they can claim their matches with NikiforosFokas under Rule 6. There is not much point to that if a player is going to be removed from the tournament, also under Rule 6, because these matches will then become void. So please just hold off from claiming matches while I try to resolve this issue. I will start to talk to reserves this week in preparation for possible changes at the weekend.

harveylh (Median 626-550 BC) defeats klayeckles (Assyrian 681-609 BC), 54-27
In a wide open desert, Assyrian chariots led by a camel unit crushed the Median left flank. However on the right flank the Mede cavalry supported by sparabara bowfire defeated the Assyrian cavalry and then flanked the Assyrian center which was the difference. Thanks to klayeckles for a hard fought, free wheeling game that was a lot of fun.

How many rallies did you have in that game, Klay? Ten?!
There were three routed units of yours that rallied (worth over 10%) and at least 5 or 6 other disrupted ones did as well.
Did I have any? Did I ****!

Bluefin (Visigoths) defeat Trogilus (Roman) 51-25.
Thanks to another rallying unit, victory was achieved. Honestly don't recall having so many of my units rally in one game. I certainly remember all those games where an opponent constantly rallied!

Triarii - Arab (Bedouin) 300-636 AD defeats markwatson360 - (Byzantine 551-578 AD) 46-18
Unfortunately nothing went right for Byzantium - First a map with wide open space and then very poor luck with the combat rolls as the numerous Bedouin horse whirled around.
