The Danes had a mixed HF Hw & MF Xb unit that lost one of the HF front rank to shooting. The Swiss allied pike then fail a 'do not charge' test and go through their LF screen and hit the luckless & exposed MF Xb guy.
My opponent feeds a spare file of HF / MF into the combat to face my other file of Pk, and in melee I kill one of his bases.
Is he allowed to remove the single file of MF Xb, then slide the remaining file of HF/MF into the space, or must he remove the HF from the front of the HF/MF combo in contact ?
The position was as follows
MF MF MF MF MF
HF MF HF my opponent wanting it to go thus HF HF instead of HF MF MF
Pk Pk Pk Pk Pk Pk
Pk Pk Pk Pk Pk Pk
It is very improtant that we get this rule right, as this was one of the 3 things that went right for me all bloody game !
My other block of superior Swiss Pike getting combined 1 hit in their initial impact & melee round against another mixed formation.
Cheers
