Could the game make the top-down view mode rotateble?

I think use the top view mode(press M) can easy control units and view the situation of battlefield,and more like the fog1's battle view,but in game I can't rotate the map in this mode,that's really awkward and uncomfortable...

I will enquire whether a change could be made to the engine to allow ir.
