chinease army?
hi there i have recently discovered Fields of Glory and really like the game style
.My ideal army would be a Old Han Chinese army is there such a thing, or am i just wistfully fantasizing if not i like to give the Byzantines a shot. i would be most grate full if some one could inform where to purchase the miniatures themselves. i have spent a short time surfing but haven’t been able to find any
thanks in advance

thanks in advance

Chinese armies are covered later this year in the Empires of the Dragon supplement.
Try this list of manufacturers if you're looking for minaitures - http://www.endoftime.pwp.blueyonder.co. ... pliers.htm - for 15mm the guys at the top of the list, Essex, have a good Warring States/Han range.
Tim Porter's site - http://www.madaxeman.com/index.php - also has information on suppliers.

Richard of :- http://www.magistermilitum.com/
And Essex too @ :- http://www.essexminiatures.co.uk/frames15anc.html
Do some really nice 15mm Han Chinese. I can speak as an owner of them from the previous supplier of the same moulds some years ago.
I have twice in my life tried to paint 25/28mm Samurai and ended up trashing them although I have done 15mm Samurai to my acceptance, mainly from
Two Dragons :- http://www.caliverbooks.com/figures/cat ... rai&menu=3
I do find that 25/28 mm figures cost too much and need an awful lot of work to paint to an acceptable standard.
You could nicely go to even a 10mm Qin Chinese from Magister Militum which I have also, but yet to paint.
If you really need to go to 28mm Samurai then
West Wind :- http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php
Curteys :- http://www.curteysminiatures.co.uk/
Old Glory :- http://www.oldgloryuk.com/disp_items.php?m=2&s=58
Perry`s :- http://www.perry-miniatures.com/index2.html
Probably offer the best and I just swapped 200 of same because my painting was not good enough.
Of all above Perry`s and Essex make good figures but make it as hard as possible to order online from so I tend to use others.
I would actually only use 28mm Samurai for Skirmish gaming as I feel this is where they fit.
As a PS I just remembered that Dave at Museum :- http://www.museumminiatures.co.uk/pages/index.htm
Does some really nice 28mm Samurai odd bits too, As do
Dixons :- http://www.dixonminiatures.co.uk/dixonc ... maintype=3
But I do feel that Dixon figures IMO look like Dwarves although I may have been the first person to ever buy £100`s worth of them 18 years ago.
If you want some piccies of the West Wind 28mm Sammies painted up really badly then PM me and I will send you some.
So, Summing up--Go 15mm Chinese. It can give you so many variations due to China being Militarily speaking so advanced in the early periods.
The Army lists are coming soon.
Cheers, Terry.
