DLC Compatibility

I have the Slitherine/Matrix version of FOG2 while one of my friends has the Steam version. I was thinking of picking up The Age of Belisarius to PBEM with him. If he bought the DLC from Slitherine/Matrix, would it work even though he has the Steam version of FOG2. If it does work then we could play the epic battles from it by PBEM.

Yeah Slith/Matrix version has a steam key.

The Slith/Matrix version serial key doubles as a STEAM key.
