Questions for game developers
Hello to all. I am French and I speak through a translator (DeepL). 1st question: how many meters does a hexagon represent? 2: why is the range of weapons not always taken into account? Example 8.8 german Flak: 3 hex in AA mode, 1 in AT mode ! What would the game have been like if you had followed that path? Above all, was it envisaged or is it conceivable? If I want to change the range of the weapons (tanks, anti-tank, anti-aircraft, artillery) for myself, what file(s) and data should I change? Thank you for listening to me. Greetings.

Depends on the scenario. Hundreds of meters up to around 100km.nono hard et heavy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:56 pm Hello to all. I am French and I speak through a translator (DeepL). 1st question: how many meters does a hexagon represent?
This game is NOT a simulator. It's a WW2 inspired strategy board game. You can certainly edit the data files to try to turn it into a simulator if you wish, but the results are not what most people consider fun. Letting flak have a range of 2, for example, would render tanks completely useless unless they were improved the same way. You'd have to rebalance everything and at the end of the day you wouldn't have the game we all love.nono hard et heavy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:56 pm2: why is the range of weapons not always taken into account? Re: Questions for game developers
Hello. Thank you for your answer. Be careful, far be it from me to create a conflict. I just wanted to know if it was possible, by modifying data, to create a game like SP WW or Steel Panther World at War but just for me (I don't know if you know it?). But that's impossible considering the scale of the hexagons. Both games have fixed scale scenarios. 1 hexagon represents about 500 meters. But thank you for your information. Greetings.proline wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:27 pmDepends on the scenario. Hundreds of meters up to around 100km.nono hard et heavy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:56 pm Hello to all. Re: Questions for game developers
PzC is definitely a strategy-level game. If tactics are your thing then perhaps hold on for Steel Tigers. Maybe try out Battle Academy (for some lighter fun) or one of the many other tactical games.
