Hero Farm

Post by goose_2 »

Ok based on Hurly's post that he wants a definition of what hero farming is, I have decided to create a new post doing just that.

I think what some people mean by hero farming is they reload the game every single time they get awarded a lousy hero so that they field only an army of super heroed beasts. That is not however what I consider hero farming.

My idea of hero farming is to have a plethora of units, more than you actually need in order to get them their first hero. Once that first hero is earned and it is a decent one you continue to work that one in hopes that you will get a good 2nd hero.

If that 1st hero is lousy you either sell it off or put it in the back of the bus in terms of deployment.
Every player picks there best heroes during deployment and no one wants to deploy that +1 Spotting artillery when you can deploy that +1 Movement or +3 Att artillery.

This is why, for me, that 2nd hero is always the most important as if your hero farming is as vast and as deep as mine you are building up a lot of units, but once they are awarded a good 2nd hero on top of that first hero you make them a mainstay of your deployment as you want them to get that 3rd hero, which is just icing on the great cake. Great 1st heroes with lousy 2nd heroes that is when deployment becomes iffy.

Should I take the +3 Att/+1 Spotting heroed artillery, or the +2 Att single heroed artillery hoping for a better 2nd hero for my +2 Att hero?

Does that make sense? I mean everyone hero farms, meaning they deploy units based on the heroes they have received hoping they get that better next hero.
