Endsieg scenario 4 "Destroy 6 Soviet aircraft"

Maybe there is something I am missing but this scenario calls for destroying 6 soviet planes. I just have AA no planes and it says to destroy 3 cargo trucks. Once again no air force. Lastly I destroyed 4 planes with AA and 2 on the ground this not count as 6 planes destroyed. What gives planes destroyed on the ground or in the air should count as 6.

I'm not sure, but I don't think aircraft destroyed on the ground count as "air kills." That would account for the objective being failed because of the "2 on the ground" that you destroyed. The flying planes shot down by AA would count, but you only had 4 of those.

The scenario designer provided for 12 air command points which would support four of your own German fighters and I believe that is what the objective is looking for: 6 air combat kills. Look at it this way: The objective pop-up message says "As our fighter units wreak havoc on the Soviet air force, their squadron leader has been promoted to Luftwaffe commander." Using ground units to destroy enemy aircraft while they are in their hangars would hardly qualify in this regard.

you are right aircraft destroyed on land should count.

After some testing it looks to me as if this works with standard airfields, but not the smaller auxiliary airstrips used here.

Thx for the info. As a quick work-around we might remove the aux airstrips in the patch version of this scn.

Long-term the airstrip behaviour should be corrected.

What I was trying to saw regarding battle #4 is that none of my planes were carried over from battle #3.So I would have purchase new planes with no experience.So the question is where did my planes go?

We had posts earlier saying the same - the planes are usually still in your force, but the unit filter settings might have changed so that you do not see them.

I linked to a picture below posted by terminator in another thread. Please, in your game, click the "force" button as shown in the pic and then see if the air icon marked below is checked for you - usually your planes will appear with the correct setting.

Those unit filter settings might have changed since certain scenarios only allow air units to be deployed after you get informed about improving weather.
