General/commander question
Can you have a Troop Commander for your 'CinC' and a Field Commander as your Sub-commander?

You may wish to move first and therefore avoid the +1 initiative bonus for the CinC being an FC.Lycanthropic wrote:I am perplexed as to why one would want to proceed with such a frivoulous use of army points?
Would it not be prudent to have the FC as the CinC?
Or is he riding in a wheelbarrow?
You may wish to send an FC on an outflanking march to get the +1 on arrival dice. IIRC the CinC cannot go on an outflanking march.

Why frivoulous? It costs the same whichever way round you do it. Once you're past the initiative roll (which you may be happy to lose) there is no difference if the generals are on the table.Lycanthropic wrote:I am perplexed as to why one would want to proceed with such a frivoulous use of army points?

If you have the FC as the sub-general you are more likely to move first so his flank march will turn up double early. Early because you're more likely to move first so it's one bound earlier than if you won the initiative roll. Early because an FC needs to roll less for it to turn up anyway.
