Game crashes in Multiplayer

My computer has started to turn itself off and on again while playing multiplayer battles. It is intermittent as sometimes I can get through a turn without it crashing but more often it crashes each time I load a turn - at varying stages of the turn and against different opposition.

I recently altered my 3d specs on the advice of lapdog666 on his the main forum thread but I have reset this now (didnt help).

Nothing else has changed with my computer apart from a Windows update.

without a report it's hard to say what could be happening or what's causing it etc.

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just zip the file then attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then not permitted to attach to the forum, where as a zip file is.

I did let it cool down over night but the problem was still there in the morning. I have just now loaded a 'Fight Now' battle and there are 8 generals banners floating in mid air on the battlefield. I thing my copy of FOG make have been corrupted somehow. I will wipe it and reload and see if that helps.

If it's resetting (not shutting down off), it can be an hardware failure (it can be any component) or a driver conflict.
When it's heat, usually the system will shut down and it won't startup again unless you push power button.

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys. Since my SSD runs at 110% when Windows is updating I moved FOG to a slower more empty disk and I am no longer getting crashes. Windows has stopped updating and my computer no longer feels like it is wading though syrup. Fingers crossed this is the end of the crashes.
