It is the continuation of this Topic : http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 74&t=88630
There is a little used condition which uses date = "Check date"
First of all I am going to make the test with famous date 31/08/41.
I type in the date into the condition Check Date then saving then reloading.
First point, the date was not changed by the game, it is always the 31/08/41.
I launch the game, Starting Date = 30/08/41.
The result :
PS : same result by launching the scenario by the Editor or by the Main Menu
Date issue

Re: Date issue
And it is not finished, the continuation of the previous episode.
I wanted to test dates which have never existed.
I am going to make the test with the fictitious date 32/08/41.

Re: Date issue
Final episode, I wanted to see to where we can go.
I am going to make the test with the fictitious date 33/08/41.
I type in the date into the condition Check Date :
But this time the game rectifies of itself this error by making another error (33/08/41 -> 32/08/41)

Re: Date issue
No need to waste time on this anymore, as it has already been reported. It's still not the worst idea to separate every single issue though, as I have somewhat lost faith in bug-collection topics.

Not exactly the same Bug.Horst wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 7:48 am No need to waste time on this anymore, as it has already been reported. It's still not the worst idea to separate every single issue though, as I have somewhat lost faith in bug-collection topics.

For example it is impossible to type the date 32/08/41 in Starting Date but it is possible to type the date 32/08/41 in Check Date.
It means that if you correct the bug Starting Date, it is most probably not going to correct the bug Check Date.

Re: Date issue
terminator, I entered this in the bug database with the following comments:
This may be a regression in that I dimly remember something like this from a while ago. The scenario editor and/or game is not accepting or correctly interpreting 31st days of months for Check Date. Also, it is possible to enter 32nd, 33rd, etc. days which of course are also incorrectly interpreted. It seems like whatever is entered, 31 or more, is capped and dated as the 30th.
Horst, that was an unusually pessimistic comment from you. I refuse to cede my title as Official Forum Pessimist to you.
