I had a lot of fun playing this, but then at "Fall Rot" everything fell apart. Waves of enemy fighters and Jabos, scores of heavy and medium tanks, mass artillery, no way to get out, and the object to take the Maginot seams a bridge to fare. After 10 retries, I have now removed this mod

That is what cheat codes can be used for, to teach a learning curve in PZC.

Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

LoV is quite tough. I've started it several times and each time managed to get a little bit further.
For me the sheer scale of the scenarios is quite an issue, but I've managed to learn a bit about creating army groups, setting objectives and sticking to them. The second or third time round I usually start to get a feel for when and where you have to hurry and when you should slowly and methodically grind forwards. First time round I have almost always managed to get it completely wrong in every scenario.
For all the frustrations (and there are plenty), once or twice a year I get the urge to just try it one more time to see how I cope with the challenges. At least it does appear to have improved my playing style considerably!

I just wanted to comment how well done this mod is. A real shame that the upgraded version was never finished.

Big problem was, that the Map- and Unit Designer leave the LoV Team!hotilongstrike wrote:A real shame that the upgraded version was never finished.

Maybe someone can help me here....I am in Bonus Mission 04, where you have to secure the V2 and Oxygen Plants. I did everything said in the ingame comments, none of the V2 or Oxygen were destroyed. And at the end it says "Axis has surrendered" and I am back at main menu....Did that one now 2 times, every time with the same result. Nikivdd, do you maybe know what I'm doing wrong?
BTW: By far the best campaign I ever played...Panzergeneral included! Great work!

I never finish this mission without cheating sorry I don't know why I can't win. Use cheat "endscn 0" for major victory

Re: [Axis Campaign] Legacy of Versailles-vanilla v0.3 (11/08
I'm in the middle of my first full playthrough (General difficulty level, SS-GTPG equipment file) and I just finished the first Battle of El Alamein. What a great scenario! I managed to get a Total Victory on turn 24/25 but the tension was incredible....constant counterattacks and not enough units to cover all the approaches. This is one of the best scenarios I've encountered while playing Panzer Corps so far (and I've well over 800 hours on the clock!), can't wait for the final clash at El Alamein

You don't want to know how many hours it took to create the El Alamein scenariostenshin111 wrote:I'm in the middle of my first full playthrough (General difficulty level, SS-GTPG equipment file) and I just finished the first Battle of El Alamein. I am very pleased to hear it is still fun to play after +3 years after its release.

I have the same problem - and I don't know how to use cheat codes. Did you ever figure it out?mettrader21 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2017 7:45 pm Maybe someone can help me here....I am in Bonus Mission 04, where you have to secure the V2 and Oxygen Plants. I'm not sure I made it to Alamein last time I played. I'm going to have to give it another go.tenshin111 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 9:48 am I just finished the first Battle of El Alamein. What a great scenario!

Re: [Axis Campaign] Legacy of Versailles-vanilla v0.3 (11/08/14)
After almost a year I decided to replay this campaign at Field Marshall
(note that I'm playing with SS-Elite mod although I tweaked the file myself as some units were a bit overpowered imho)
As an additional challenge I don't save - reload during a mission. The only alternative is to re-start the scenario from scratch.
Currently I'm blitzing through Egypt, what a joy
In my last playthrough I got stuck in Ethiopia and despite a generous turn limit I wasn't even close to capturing all objectives. Let's see it how it goes this time...
