Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Hey Adam, thanks for answering the ping. Just a couple of questions: Your role is intermediary, correct? You will be relaying the issues that we are compiling in the Current Bugs - Version 7.1.4 thread to the developers for eventual resolution?

Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Correct. I am in the process of creating a bug database for OOB as I find tracking all the bugs on this forum is problematic. Until then, however, I will continue to review your bug threads for details to pass onto the developers.

Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Excellent. The Current Bugs thread is an attempt to help you in this regard, by compiling the most serious bugs in the opening post. Thanks for the job you are doing.

Doing the lord's work.
Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
May I ask a clarification? Does this mean that the OOB developer's immediate efforts following the DLC will be focused on correcting existing issues?
Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Not completely, no. There's other aspects of work, future updates, DLC planning etc as well, but yes, there will be a bug fix pass coming shortly.
I want to create a database of the main/serious/critical issues to allow for a triage to take place, and then we can be more transparent with what fixes/updates are coming.
Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Ah, you get this old heart trembling, sir! What you described is indeed something the community has waited for a long time and even though it took about 3 years- better late than never, right?AMG wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 4:04 pm

Carry on then! I won't distract you as I'm sure this news will spread quickly, and others will flock to express gratitude and wave bugs in your face.

Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
I would second that... It is well known fact that developers/publisher doesn't want to commit to hard deadlines until a project is pretty certain (so that there is no need for a delay announcement later). However, for OOB, we don't have any knowledge on when a patch may drop. I realise these things are hard to plan, but no one's asking for a fixed date commitment- patch in mid-late December or something like that is already more than enough.
Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Fair enough. I cannot promise a date, but I can say I've received a build recently (yesterday) that has several fixes in it. I need to schedule this for QA, but what I was considering was doing a bigger update with a lot of issues fixed, and running a small closed beta to ensure you guys are happy with the changes, and that nothing new has popped up in between the fixes. Would this be something that interested you? It would offer the transparency you wanted, but give you an inside track on what's being looked at and what's been fixed so far.13obo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 8:56 am I would second that... That's great news! I work long hours and have limited time to game, so I will pass on the closed-beta, but I'm sure many other fans would potentially like to be involved. I'm certain you'd get more participants if this is posted as announcement in the forum and people would be glad about any details (including timelines).
Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Once it's all setup, the announcement will be posted on the forum.13obo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 10:30 am That's great news! Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
A closed beta could be made available on the beta forum.
I would guess there are a number of players with access, probably everyone that have participated in a beta in the last...?

Re: Ping: Adam from Slitherine
Yes, of course. Although the bug database will be open to all, but contributors will need to provide an email for me to create their account.
Cheers
