"Long" Banner Problem Solution?

Post by Paul59 »

A note to all other modders.

I think I have found the solution to the "Long" Banner problem. You need to put the appropriate Normal and Spec .dds files for the banners into the same mod folder as your new Banner textures.

After some further research, it seems that all of the banner .s4f files and textures needed by the mod need to be in the mod's Banners folder. That includes any vanilla .s4f and .dds files, even if you have not changed them!

The next version of the TT Mod will include these extra files, and hopefully that will finally solve the long banner problem.

Not linked to the Long Banner problem, but I’m mentioning too that a copy of the UnitFlags_Cohesion@.dds file from the main game's banner folder is needed in the mod's banner folder. Otherwise, the banners’ fronts and backs may look different and (much more important) the banners of the “away” army may become turned (i.e., the front used for the back and nice versa)
