Multiplayer Game Lock
Multiplayer Game Lock
Just had a pretty severe lock-up of the game which forced me to sign out and back into my machine again. I can't really say much more than that other than it was an Egyptian vs Persian game during the ongoing tournament.

Thanks for the report.
Can you give any more details about what happened?

Re: Multiplayer Game Lock
It happened just as my armoured spearmen hit a unit of unengaged immortals in the flank. I do have a screenshot of the repeat action happening (when I took the turn again). The below screenshot isn't from the turn the game locked, but from the retake when I attempted the same move again. The game locked shortly after this charge.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:32 amThanks for the report.

Re: Multiplayer Game Lock
Presumably it did not lock when you played the turn again?
The lock occurred during your actual turn, and not the replay? (I assume so from what you say, but it is just possible your unit's charge was a pursuit charge during the replay).
Also, what exactly do you mean by "the game locked"? e.g. Was the screen completely frozen, did the mouse cursor move or not, was there a crash to desktop, did you have to use the task manager to close the program?

It was during my actual turn and no, it didn't lock the second time. The screen was completely frozen; I believe I could still hear the battle noise however. I can't remember if I could move the cursor or not. What I can remember is I couldn't even get the task manager to come up; I could still ctrl alt del my way out and sign out, but I needed to sign out of my computer and then sign in again to get the FOG program to close and get access to my computer again.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:41 am Presumably it did not lock when you played the turn again?

Are you running on a laptop? Overheating the video card could cause that kind of major failure.

Hmm... that could do it. And my laptop does get rather hot sometimes.pipfromslitherine wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 4:32 pm Are you running on a laptop? Overheating the video card could cause that kind of major failure.
