not really, u have implemented such behaviour, that usa joins rapidly when france (and/or russia) is out

actually i remember just once usa didnt join entente, in game i used bombing french cities to delay british participation - cause of that negative counter bug

My friend and i tried out multyplayer but after a few turns the game crashes during replay. What i have read there is no way to work around this problem?
Whats strange is that on the multiplayer overview the campaign name changed from potzblitz to 1914 - the great war.

We both love to replay ww1 and this game would have been a welcome change from SC WW1, but the vanilla version is not quite our deal. Potzblitz would have been really lovely.

At least we can enjoy the great singleplayer.

@eriador08: thanks for reporting that issue with the changing campaign name, that's a new one. I'll see what I can make of it, maybe it could hint to the problem that causes the crashes.

That would be great. Could it be usefull, if we playtest the mod some more?

Okay, let's try this here then, it also includes a fix for the bug reported by nehi a few days ago.

Both players must have both the main mod and this latest update installed.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This time however the challenging player will have to select the 1914 Great War scenario NOT the PotzBlitz scenario.
This will start a PotzBlitz match nonetheless.
I repeat: click on 1914 Great War scenario when issuing a challenge!

Also please make notes of:
- which German opening move was used (Schlieffen, Rupprecht, Aufmarsch Ost or none)
- in which turn at what point the game crashed
- which nations had joined the war at that point (I'm suspecting the MP crash bug might be connected with Britain joining)

from autosave too, so its not matter of the last turn

i guess ive sent lenin to russia just in previous turn, he didnt arrive yet and russia surrendered

couldnt that be in contradiction?

No, the only thing Lenin does is triggering the October Revolution.
It does not matter whether Russia has already surrendered.
If the October Revolution triggers after Russian surrender it has no more consequences.
I even saw it happening several times when testing your savegame.

We followed your instructions and played 26 turns yesterday. So far the game runs without problems. Germany used no opening move and britain joined without trouble.

I was a litte bit surprised that the turks and bulgaria joined the entente in late 14 / beginning of 15, although i sent financial aid and the goeben and bombed sewastopol. Is it intendet that this can happen.

Italy is leaning toward the cp. Can this be the cause?

@eriador08: 26 turns without crash? this is VERY interesting to hear! :D

About Turks/Bulgaria joining Entente: no, this is indeed not intended! The moment Sevastopol got bombed, Turkey should have joined CP. :?

There is only one event that can bring Turkey/Bulgaria on the side of Entente and and this is if either one is attacked by a CP nation but I doubt that had happened in your game.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Should the game crash, don't restart the game but look for the ctgw.log file first!
This is usually to be found in your Documents folder, so look in "My Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War".
Open the log in a text editor and copypaste the last few lines in your reply post so I can see what is going on.

Also please tell me what versions of the game you AND your opponent are using. Steam or non-steam?

Yeah, would be great if another player could try out nehi's savegame for V6.5.
Just load the savegame and hit "end turn" and accept the Russian surrender.
Then report back if the game keeps stable or crashes and whether you are using the steam version of the game or the non-steam version.
I was able to continue the game, tested over a dozen times with no problems.

I took up 2 of Argentum's challenges, please guys take up the remaining two for testing purposes.

@Argentum: for my game as CP I chose:

- Diplomatic Poker
- Kaiser's Gold
- Goeben Battlecruiser to the Mediterranean

If possible try other events when doing your CP turn so we have a bigger difference between the opening choices. I'll also take notes for later reference.
