New Scenario: Little War
Hello everybody, i have just finished my newest scenario.
It is a scenario about the Slovakian-Hungarian War (or Little War), and one of many Hungarian scenarios i have planned.
You will need Admiral_Horthy's mod to play it, so check out and download his Alternate Arsenal.
Without this mod i wouldn't have been able to make any scenario close to realism due to lack of Hungarian units in the base game.
Anyways, here is the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sqh444mdy8z1d ... r.zip?dl=0
You can find Admiral_Horthy's mod here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=85899

Oooo yes. Let me see.
That also reminds me to create the Slovak faction with partly inherited Czech units and some german export.

Looks good so far. Although I see no texts and trigger messages. I did something wrong?
The FT-17 represent what type of tank?

PS: map is empty rn but alot of new units will appear throughout the game
Re: New Scenario: Little War
Hmm, i had this same problem today when editing the last tidbits inside the scenario editor, however in my testplay after that everything worked fine.Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 1:03 pm Looks good so far. Although I see no texts and trigger messages. I did something wrong?
It is representing the Fiat 3000B https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_3000 (the hungarian used ones are the model 30)
Hungary used these in the war as they at that time lacked any modern tanks.

Re: New Scenario: Little War
OK.. .then the problem is at my side
A Fiat-3000. We had a couple of them in the early '30s but they were all unarmed and used for training. They decided to purchase the CV-35 instead. In 1939 there was just a couple of pre series Toldi tanks besides the tankettes...

Re: New Scenario: Little War
Well, all the sources i read (also the original scenario) state that 5 upgraded Fiat 3000's were used.Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 4:55 pm OK.. .then the problem is at my side![]()

I feel like it represents a mix of these Fiat's and CV-35's because atleast 70 CV's were used.
And those toldi-tanks wouldn't be put into use until the occupation of transylvania 1940.

Re: New Scenario: Little War
From what sources is it from? It's surprising, since the Fiat-3000 were all purchased without weapons. For training they received a single infantry machine gun only that was no even fixed into the turret. I can't find anything
I have, however a very good PDF book on the Little War... well in Hungarian. If it's a help to you

Re: New Scenario: Little War
Hmmm, perhaps you are right. The sources i have until now used are tanks-encyclopedia.com to look up info about the tank and wikipedia too. The main reason for me putting it in is that the version of my scenario right now is originally a scenario from a hungarian mod in Panzer Corps, and all current units are from that setup.Admiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:24 pm From what sources is it from? Ofcourse, it may just be that these have got the wrong sources, so i'm interested in what the book says.
I sadly can't understand hungarian, though maybe there is a english translation?

Re: New Scenario: Little War
I also found that single sentence on Tank Encyclopedia... I don't know where did they get it from. My books did not mention it at all, besides that in 1939 all Fiats were decommissioned and subsequently expended as targets. They were in service between 1930-39 as part of RUISK (Police Recruit Training School) an undercover armor training school. All info is very scarce on the early 30's as armor and artillery were forbidden for Hungary and everything they did was done in extreme secrecy...
If I find something I'll tell...

Well made, a bit on the easy side, maybe. The short turn limit's fine for the scen as it is, but you could add some garrison troops for all the cities on the way, it should be doable still (or add a few turns then). The RP income's fine, the units from A³-mod worked okay, too. There seems to be a trigger error with the prim. objective, though:
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: New Scenario: Little War
I see, there it is. You have 4 VP on the map and "at least 2 objectives" can be 3 or 4 (including the one the player holds from the start). My advice (and not just here) don't use "=" if not absolutely necessary. Always better to use ">" or "<" instead.
Re: New Scenario: Little War
Hey, sorry for my inactivity the last few weeks.
Anyways, I will release a new version of this scenario and a second scenario as well soon.
Gabeknight, thanks for checking for bugs. I will change the trigger and look into adding additional units.
