Remove or immobilize auxiliary troops

Post by Juansana »

Question. How can I help the auxiliary troops at Blitzkrieg How can I prevent the auxiliary troops at Blitzkrieg - Warsaw from attacking Warsaw after they have fended off the counterattack at Kutno? Or how can I remove them so that they don't fool around?

Juansana, this does not seem like a beta question, so I am moving it to the main forum. [Actually, I may need to move it again. Is your question related to gameplay or to scenario design?]

If you see that aux-units are under the control of an allied AI then you can only watch them walking to their doom. Try to assist them as best as you can as long as you don't need to sacrifice your core units.

Since the auxiliary troops basically try to take Warsaw with them in the Warsaw scenario, I want to remove them after the work is done (defense Kutno), so that they don't mess me into the battle for Warsaw. Therefore the question of removing Horst

Hello Bru, sorry about the wrong forum. And it has something to do with the gameplay or scenario design. Please move it again. Thanks

The other possibility is to remove/change some trigger settings with the editor. There's an AI order change trigger that you'd have to remove, then they'd stay put after the counter-attack is defeated.

It is normal for the Kriegsmarine that they do fool around, they get land sickness

Unfortunately I don't know the editor well enough to find or change these variables. Actually the auxiliary troops should take care of the defense at Kutno and then the Kampinoski forest and then stay. At least that's how it ran in the first versions of Blitzkrieg and that's how it should be again
