map scrolling down

Post by adrianoku »

Every time I open or a saved game or a new one, in every campaign I cannot play because the map scrolls down without any my command. I noticed I have a "selector" in the bottom left side ( see attachment) could be this be the cause?

There's a known issue with map scrolling if you have multiple controllers/joysticks/etc. attached to your PC.

I only have my mouse attached or do any USB devices count?
Whatever, I really hope this will be fixed next to the annoying desktop-switch cursor displacement.

Who knows what devices count? I've just read about this bug in the steam forums somewhere.

Since the last official Slitherine representative changed jobs, even the meager, but formerly existing, source of information kind of dried up lately.

I avoid playing in " Windowed mode" because of problem of scrolling (in other games also).
I have a switcher which allows to connect several computers to a single screen, mouse and keyboard. From time to time with this switcher, the mouse or the keyboard do not work any more correctly.

Usually it's an external controller (joystick, flight pedals, etc.) that conflicts with the game's engine. It's typical of games made on Unity.
I've already reported the issue some time ago, so this should be fixed in the next patch.

@horst
You can always also try if a 3rd party program isn't interfering.
Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.
A tutorial on how to do this can be found below:

Hi all,

I am the new producer for this title. I will do my best to get back to you all when tech support issues arise. This particular issue has already been addressed but is part of a larger patch due for release in (early) November.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

Adam
