O.o. B. crashes.

Post by robertahyuk »

I've noticed lately that when I turn the game off to go back to desktop, I get a black screen and have to manually shut the PC down and restart it. Happens almost once a day. Even after only briefly playing. Has this happened with others or again, is it just me?
Thank you.

Something similiar happened to me when I started the site version (no problems with steam version). Try starting OoB as Admin!

(PS: Alt-Tab didn't work, but I could use Alt-Ctrl-Del to access the task manager and close the OoB process manually)

The Task Manager wouldn't work either. The screen just went back to black. I have been the Admin for some time now. Odd, to say the least.
Thank you GabeKnight.

I meant to start the game with Admin rights. :)
You have to right-click, run as... (at least that's the way in Win7)

Or:
Open the game installation folder.
Locate and select a file named "autorun.exe".
Press the right mouse button and select "Properties".
Click on the "Compatibility" tab.
Tick the option "Run this program as an administrator".
Click on "Apply" and "Ok".

I have Windows 10, so it's a little different, Gabe. But thank you.
As far as this? I went all through the files and couldn't find any autorun.exe file. Not a big deal as it only occasionally crashes like that.
Open the game installation folder.
Locate and select a file named "autorun.exe".
Press the right mouse button and select "Properties".
Click on the "Compatibility" tab.
Tick the option "Run this program as an administrator".
Click on "Apply" and "Ok".
Thanks anyway. Maybe the next update will clear up any lingering problems.

Haven't you find any autorun file? It's in the game installation folder.

Yes, I just had time now and found it and followed your instructions. When I get time later, I'll play the game and see if everything is OK.
Thank you!
