A word of thanks

I am unqualified to make a detailed review.

Too little geek DNA.

Too little playing time on similar programs.

Too little computer experience.

Too much real life experience.

For me, virtual reality is having a dream that would confuse Freud.

With those caveats stipulated, and with a nod of gratitude to all the grandchildren who for years agreed to travel into the deep woods with me without tents or comforts and now, in return, challenged me to travel into the deep, forbidding world of pixelated conflict, allow me to offer a word of thanks.

Anything that keeps an old codger up past midnight because he simply has to finish defending his hard earned turf, or rescue a named and beloved unit that is centuries old and ventured too far from home, or complete the destruction of an obnoxious enemy, or humiliate a traitorous city that rebelled after years of expensive coddling....well, that's a good game.

So thank you.

Perhaps when I am older and more experienced in the gaming world, (and at my age that is a prophetic proposition somewhere near the outer edge of the bell shaped longevity curve), I will be more discriminating. Until then, to those responsible for this program, let me offer unqualified gratitude from an unqualified non geek.

This is fun.

thank you very much for this post. It is always such a motivation to read that players do enjoy the game!
I hope you will have more such nights when you keep saying "just one more turn" because you simply cannot stop playing:)

Any kind of review on sites like Steam, Reddit or even here are helping us a lot because nowadays it is very difficult to get a game out to players. Many players do not even know that this game exists, so if you have friends who would be interested in this kind of game, please spread the word to help us.

Let me thank you as well. I've played lots of military and sim type games, but don't have much time to become a "gamer" as my work is demanding and interesting. But this game has lots of depth, is really FUN as well, and fits in the nice niche between learning, education, and entertainment. I'd love to see "games" like this migrate to other things: for example, a simulation such as this could be a great device for testing cognitive capability (conceptual thinking and planning... how far out can one plan) as well as personality and management styles, reaction to unexpected events, stress, etc. (You may have guessed my work is as a psychologist/management consultant).
So, other than practically ruining my life and weekends with your addicting game..... THANKS!
