I'm playing FoG2 in a window at 1920 x 1080. That's the native resolution of both the internal display (laptop) and an external monitor connected via HDMI. When the game window is on the internal display, the mouse scroll wheel works just fine. When I move the game window over to the external monitor, the mouse scroll wheel is no longer recognized. If I drag the game window so it is half on the internal display and half on the external monitor, if I use the mouse scroll wheel with the mouse cursor on the internal display, it zooms as it should. If I move the mouse cursor over the half on the external monitor, the mouse wheel no longer zooms. It appears as if mouse scroll wheel info is being ignored if the mouse is over the external display (The mouse scroll wheel works fine on the external display for other apps/games that I have). Note that the up and down arrow keys zoom in all cases as it should.
Update: It isn't just the zoom function. None of the normal mouse scroll wheel things are working on the external monitor (such as scrolling through the text in the combat logs, etc.)
Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Re: Mouse scroll wheel problem on second monitor
a report may narrow it down a bit.
How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:
1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.
once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum
sorry about your issue, but at times it can be external USB devices which make odd things happen, but once a report has been uploaded, other problems can be eliminated

Thanks for the reply. Just for grins, based on your info, I unplugged all external USB devices, but unfortunately that didn't help. Please find attached the output of DXDiag.

Re: Mouse scroll wheel problem on second monitor
The game makes use of the standard Windows messages, and if it is not getting them then it cannot function as we would like. Perhaps check the settings for the multiscreen setup.
Are you using an external mouse or the laptop pad?
Cheers

Re: Mouse scroll wheel problem on second monitor
It is an external bluetooth mouse (logitech MX2 anywhere). By the way, after much experimentation with performance, I have settled on using Window/No Frame, which forces me to play on the internal monitor (at least I've not found a way to move it to the external monitor so far ...) so this is really a low priority problem. That's for helping me with it.

Re: Mouse scroll wheel problem on second monitor
This may work to move the window
Use the following key combination to switch programs between screens.
"Windows Key + SHIFT + Arrow Key"
Detailed instructions:
Press and hold the Windows Key then add and hold the SHIFT key. While keeping those two pressed hit the left or right arrow key to move the current active window left or right.
Cheers
