TT Mod Game

I have received a message at the start of a TT Mod game saying that my opponents data differs from mine and that we should abandon the game. We did that and both checked that we had downloaded Ver 1.3.9 . We had both the correct updates and I re-posted the challenge only to get the same error message.

The cavalry figures were many times larger than the infantry.

Could it be that one of you is using the TT Mod + by matlegob?

Or maybe one of the players has attempted to edit their verson of the Mod in some way.

The error message indicates that the players versions of the mod are different.

I am pretty certain that none of the cavalry in the mod are out of scale. So I would assume that this is a consequence of the mismatch.

Just so I can check, can you tell me what the armies in the game are?

I have downloaded the correct updates and have not modified anything. My opponent said he also had the correct mods but we did not discuss modifying the files. Achaemenid Persian 545 BC vs Kyrenean Greek 630 BC.

I have just checked these two armies in an SP game, and the cavalry are all the same scale as the infantry. So I can only assume that one of you is running a modified or corrupted Squads.csv file that has an error which has produced this result.

You can ignore the mismatched data error messages and carry on playing the game, but you will still have the giant cavalry of course. Also, there maybe be other errors in the Squads.csv file that might produce other problems.

Yup I downloaded the 1.39 and put it in the right directories (I hope). Apart from the script messages and not being able to see the enemy units correctly in selection it looked graphically ok. No huge units :-)

If Cunningcairn is using my TT Mod, then that would be the reason you are having problems.

I am surprised that you are even able to accept a challenge, as the two mods should have different names. Maybe matlegob has not renamed his TT Mod? That might explain it?

I cannot check for a few hours, as I do not have access to my pc.

Yes, matlegob never intended his mod for multiplayer, he released it as a Campaign version only. Players have figured out how to get it working in MP, but of course it will conflict with people who are using my original version as the files are slightly different.
