As title says. I capped the secondary objective and then left with a unit before my flag was fully raised. Flag changed the ownership (by itself) back to my oponent's. Do I need to stay on the objective until it fully caps? If so, then how long? Is it enough if I have a unit adjacent and this hex is in my "zone of control". Also is this issue valid for primary and secondary objectives only or are there other capping rules I should be aware of?
Ofc it does not include any actions undertaken by my opponent.
Flag changing ownership by itself?

From what I have experienced in the game, a objective (all kinds) will stay yours if there is a unit within 1 hex or you can have atleast 4 hexes surrounding it under your control and no units.
Once the flag is fully raised it wont change back anymore.

Re: Flag changing ownership by itself?
That sounds reasonable.
Now if only devs can confirm that

Is this MP? Then it's probably what Fabio said.
In single player scns/campaign play there might also be events triggering a flag change.

Re: Flag changing ownership by itself?
This issue relates to a location being captured by a para unit, and the para unit leaves the location before the flag is fully raised.
This reverts the flag back to previous owner.
I think paras in Malta/Sandstorm needed to stay on the location until the flag was raised. But that may have been scripted (?).

Yeah, it's a new mechnic since a few updates ago. Cities will change ownership back if not supplied and no friendly unit(s) within one hex of it.
I think it came with the annoying new mechanic of trains-can't-cross-through-enemy-territory (e.g. making many custom maps useless).

I appreciate the effort but secretly hope for a rollback. It's mighty annoying and frankly quite absurd in some cases.GabeKnight wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 6:31 pm Yeah, it's a new mechnic since a few updates ago. Still, thanks for the answer and the clarification.
Time to get back to my sherman tank !
