What's the probability of disaster occurs?

Richard will no doubt confirm, but I think the combat strength modifier is including effects from casualties. I.e. the legion unit is significantly depleted, giving it a penalty in combat relative to your warband. In addition to that, you're suffering a penalty for fighting multiple units. But the summary has combined that with the effect of losses.

Looking at the banner of the Roman legionaries they are close to autobreaking, and as they are Superior, they may already be below half strength. (I can't be sure, although I can only see 4 figures standing). Your warband, on the other hand, is still fighting with the maximum combat strength (because, for infantry, only the front 2 ranks of figures count - 480 men at the normal representational scale).

So, despite having a 20% reduction in their fighting strength because they are fighting two opponents, they still have a significant combat strength advantage over the Romans.

If the legionaries have about 223 men left, the overall figure is what I would expect.

Now I understand these combat strength modifies conclude both unit remaining numbers and multiple opposing, not just multiple opposing factor. Thanks for the reply.
